Refreshing way to wake up

I dont know about you all but I am not much of a morning person.. Don't get me wrong once I'm up I am totally up but I have a hard time getting started.. Most of you are probably like "drink coffee!" I wish I could but I have a slight allergy and well coffee isn't very good for you in my opinion.. So to wake me up I boil up a cup of hot green tea.. For this of you who don't know about this it's healthy for you, Helps reduce clogged up arteries and is great for the skin.. If I have it on hand I would rather white tea, this is the tip of the green tea leaf: most of the antioxidants in the green tea leaf goes straight to the tip making it extremely good for the health.. If you're boiling the tea leaves safe some left over drop in some water and wash your face with it..

The other thing I do to wake myself up is spraying some rose water onto my face, it's refreshing and wakes you up instantly leaving your face feeling soft..

Have some extra cucumbers laying around the house?? Slice up a couple each and lay down for a couple minutes with one slice over each eye.. This will help reduce the bags under your eyes *same goes for your green tea bag after being steeped* this always helps me get going and takes no more than 30 minutes!!!!

Nighttime rituals every woman should do

Good evening cupcakes!! As the day winds down and the sun sets a lot of us get tired and many forget to wash off our makeup... The is a major NO!! Always try to wash off your makeup before bed, I use st Ives green tea cleanser, it's gentle on the skin but still effective as I have very minimal acne *not always has this been the case* before washing my face I always dip a cotton ball in olive oil and massage the eyelid while removing my eye makeup.. Not only does it effectively remove makeup it always helps keep your eyes looking bright and healthy.. After washing my face I always use my egg yolk and milk moisturizer which can be found in my first blog if you're looking for the recipe.. This is followed by slathering on some cocoa butter.. If you're like me and have light and spare eyelashes a great tool to use at night is an eyelash comb and olive oil.. This helps the growth and makes your eyelashes look thicker! End the night with a gentle shiatsu massage, this can be accomplished by taking your finger tips *pointer, middle and ring* and gently tap your face for about five minutes. I like to focus under my eyes because I'm prone to dark circles.. This massage stimulates blood circulation and helps your skin to maintain a youthful appearance!!!

If you're feeling a bit dry on your body nighttime is the best to soften the skin.. I love walking barefoot in the house and because of this my feet tend to dry out easily so to remedy this I slather on some lotion *cocoa butter is best* and throw on a pair of socks and keep it there over night.. If your legs are dry throw on some tights or hose or even yoga pants.. Hands dry?? No problem throw Te gloves on over the lotion.. Keep on over night and when you wake up your skin will be instantly soft!!!!

Halawa hair removel

We all know shaving can cause irritation to your skin. We get nicks, razor burn and even ingrown hairs even than there is no promise of getting every single hair!! Maybe you thought of waxing, that can be pretty expensive and let's face it who really wants to have a random stranger waxing them and in a place where so many others have gone?? Well chickadees there is a solution it is called the Halawa aka sugaring.. It's a simple process with only a couple of ingredients that you can find right at home.. You can use this on any part of your body where hair grows and works well as a bikini wax! It's simple to make and takes roughly 5-10 minutes to cook up.. The only difficult part is the waxing because as we all know waxing is not the most comfortable of things, so as a suggestion do this with a friend or your significant other.. As the saying goes "beauty is pain"

Halawa hair removel

2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons lemon juice *about half a lemon*
4 tablespoons water
Strips from old sheet

In a large pot bring together all the ingredients and boil on medium to medium high heat, wait for it to boil which is fairly quickly.. Don't forget to stir frequently!! One it is boiling remove from heat and allow to cool just a bit usually about 30-45 minutes. Once cooled slather on the area you wish to remove the hair, pat on the strip of sheet on, pull skin taut and pull the sheet off against the direction of hair growth and there you have it no hair! To soothe skin apply olive, almond or coconut oil.. You may also use cocoa butter lotion

Homemade tips for baby soft skin

Hello cupcakes, winter is coming and that means dry, cracked skin for us girls who live up north... Let's face it no one likes dry skin and it's totally unattactive so what's a girl to do but go out and spend money on lotions and creams that claim to give you super soft and super smooth skin, right?? WRONG!!! Soft skin is only a room away, your kitchen!! I've been known for having soft skin since, well forever, and I am often asked by friends, family and even exes how I keep it that way so here I am to share my tips with the world!!!

The most basic and important step to soft skin is exfoliate! I have been known to take good old fashioned sugar and slather it on in the shower, although I do indulge in store bought on occasion, it's quite simple and is gentle enough to use on your face even with sensitive skin *like mine* all you do is take a bit of sugar, depending on how much of your body your using it on, and scrub away! Essentially this clears away dead skin leaving behind new regrown skin cells.. Another tip is to exfoliate EVERY time before you shave!!! After a nice shower I use extra virgin coconut oil, if yours comes in the hard form just scoop some up and rub away, it will melt I promise, let it sit for a little bit and allow your skin to absorb than take a towel and rub off the excess oil. If that isn't enough for you slather on some cocoa butter lotion

If you're like me and have a dry face a great and economical way to keep it soft is homemade moisturizer.. Simply take one cup of whole milk and one egg yolk *save the whites because you can use it for a great facial mask* beat the yolk firmly and slowly add in the milk making it form into a paste and voila instant moistureizer! now cupcakes, for those of you who long for a little extra moisture you can add about a teaspoon of organic honey.. This will actually help lock in that moisture that you're looking for.. When it comes nighttime slather this on and a little extra cocoa butter and you will see results within days... Below I will write the basic recipe for the moisturizer and the egg white mask...

Egg yolk and milk mask

1 cup of whole milk
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon organic honey *optional*

Beat egg yolk firmly, slowly add milk until mixture forms into a paste, when finished you may add honey if you wish.. Pour into container and store in your fridge

Egg white facial mask

1 egg white
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Beat egg white and lemon juice until frothy.. Put on face and lay down for about 5-10 minutes than add on next layer and lay down agai for about 15 minutes.. Rinse off with cold water
